Rare Apple 1 computer

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/offbeat/d … ar-BBksAXD

How rare are those?

Not really a Mac person, tried once a long time ago. Only ancient computer I have stored away is a Commodore Vic 20.

Re: Rare Apple 1 computer

Last I read, they guess that 200 were made and maybe around 65 survive today.

Givin the chance, would have kept it myself. I would have something to talk about.

Wonder if the lady knew or not what she was giving away.

Re: Rare Apple 1 computer

I'd say she had no idea....most non-tech people have no idea about the significance of such things. To them, unless someone "in the know" tells them what it is, its just an old bit of junk that should be thrown out. If she had any idea as to what it was I would hope she would've sold it...

To anyone that doesn't know, it look like a green computer board-thing.

Good if they're the seller and you're the buyer, in that you'll get it for dirt cheap.  Bad, if they recycle it, or, again, if they're the seller, in that they won't get what it's worth.
