Pick Ten!!!

OK--time for something fun smile

Suppose you have a 68K Mac and you're only allowed ten programs (excluding the system software) to install on it. They can be commercial, shareware, or public domain.

--State your hardware configuration.
--State the system software version you are running on your hardware.
--Commercial system INITs like After Dark and SAM count toward your ten. Freeware INITs do not and can be lumped in with the system.
--Printer drivers do not count toward your ten. Commercial fonts do count unless they were included with a printer driver.

OK...let's go!!

System: Macintosh Plus with 4MB RAM, 52MB hard drive, and LaserWriter 4/600 PS printer (yup, I have one of these!)

Operating System: System 6.0.8
Freeware System Addons: Bomb Shelter, Choose CDEV, UnScrolly, Programmer's Key, SuperClock

#1. Microsoft Word 5.1
#2. MacDraw II
#3. Print Shop
#4. Microsoft Works 2.0
#5. Shufflepuck Cafe
#6. After Dark: Disney Collection
#7. Cairo Shoot Out
#8. MacPaint 1.5
#9. WetPaint Clip Art
#10. Calendar Maker

(my Plus has a few more programs installed, but these are the ones I'd put on first and foremost)

Re: Pick Ten!!!

All of you have some great picks here!!!

Volvo, good call on Apieron!! It won't run on my Plus, but it's definitely a great game, from the original version to the OS X port (which actually plays nicer with a Magic Mouse than I thought it would).

Re: Pick Ten!!!

Traffo, agreed.  It doesn't work as well with some of the opticals, like I mentioned on FB.  My MS mouse is too jittery, with the fast tracking I like, to work properly for the game.  On the Quadra 650, it works great, since I can use my ADB Mouse II.
