Macintosh SE w/superdrive help transferring files

I’m completely new to all of this, but I recently got a mouse and keyboard for a Macintosh SE I have had. Everything there seems to be working great, so next I wanted to transfer games to it that I downloaded from the internet. I have a usb floppy drive, and some known working 1.4mb floppy drives. The Macintosh is post 1989, so it has a SuperDrive.  I also have access to modern Mac or windows computers. I put a floppy drive into the Macintosh and allowed it to format it, and now the floppy is completely unresponsive in the usb reader. I know nothing about the proper formats compatible bewteen old and new computers, and would appreciate any suggestions of tools that will help. Thanks in advance!

Re: Macintosh SE w/superdrive help transferring files

If you have a modern-ish Mac, a compatible USB floppy drive and a Disk Copy 6 floppy image file, you can use "dd" on the command-line to copy the image file to a physical diskette. See lowendmac for more info:  http://lowendmac.com/2008/creating-clas … s-in-os-x/
