Macintosh Keyboard

I’ve been thinking for the past few days... Is it possible to make an adapter to make the original Macintosh keyboard, work with USB or Bluetooth? I’m not good enough with tech to make an adapter so I was thinking if I could post it somewhere and someone could help. Thanks!

Re: Macintosh Keyboard

ISTR seeing a PaleoCompact KBD to ADB converter. Going from ADB to USB is old hat. AFAIK, the stone age KBDs are serial communications devices, so  I'd think going straight to USB via RPi or the like should be easy enough.

Are there enough keys on those boards to be all that useful?

Re: Macintosh Keyboard

jt, I have the full sized Macintosh Plus keyboard... And also can you support a link where I may be able to get the adapters?

Re: Macintosh Keyboard

Couldn't find anything for ADB offhand, but a quick search turned up a PS2 -> Mac Plus KBD input converter hack you might be able to get to run in the other direction easily enough. PS2-USB is cheap as dirt.

The much missed bbraun is well and off doing things IRL. He did much the same thing.
