Quadra 800 problems

I was recently messing around with a Quadra 800 and I attempted to have it start. Upon doing so I was greeted by the normal sound, when sudenly two high pitch noises then the screen was filled with a green (what I can only assume is a prompt or alert) with a floppy disk in the middle with a question mark in it's center. I can't tell if the hard drive or the floppy drive is broken please help?

Re: Quadra 800 problems

I was able to get the hard drive to work. I originally thought it was going to be like the older scsi hard drives where the reader arm rubber stoppers were going to be sticky. But it wasn't instead all I needed to do was manually move the disks (*touching the center part not the actual disk) for the first time in over a decade. Upon plugging it back in, it worked perfectly but this leads me into my next problem... I DON'T KNOW THE PASSWORD!!! I know in os X that you can put another admin on by using the recovery partition. Is there any way I can do somthing with a recovery disk to bypass the lock screen?
