Just got a Macintosh 128k for $20 ^-^ but need a keyboard and mouse :(

Hey there!
I just picked up a untested Macintosh 128k from a local comic/collectible shop for $20. It powers on (I get a sad Mac face, I'm going to replace the RAM chips, from what I can tell online, that seems to be the issue). I cleaned the system up and it looks nice and clean! Not too many scratches on it, and no cracks or chips. I'm going to replace the CAPS and retrobrite it. It's going to be a nice display piece when I'm done. Only thing I don't have for it is the keyboard and mouse sad other than ebay, is there any place I can purchase them? anyone here have a set to sell?

It's not that I can't use eBay, It's just hard to spend 5 times more than the computer on just a keyboard and mouse. The listings just seem pricey to me. But maybe thats just what they go for now a days.

Thanks everyone in advance!
I already gone ahead and purchased a replacement battery and a long T15 bit to open the machine to clean the inside next. I also picked up a 3.2 system disk and game pack 4 from http://rescuemyclassicmac.com/ as there was no disks as well. But the machine did come with a external SCSI drive with the cable and a SCSI terminator plug!... that doesn't go with it. but if anyone's looking for that and would trade towards a mouse and keyboard, thats cool with me tongue

Here's the machine as I got it, it's much cleaner now.

I'm hoping not. If so, I'll do my best to downgrade it tongue I ordered 16 of the DRAM chips and may just end up changing them all when I recap

I got the tool to open it, so I opened up the machine and took a look inside. I was shocked to see how clean it was!

I did notice some damage hmm looks like the battery (which was still in the machine when I got it, and since removed it and tossed it. I also got a new replacement for it as well) leaked inside and caused some damaged to the metal frame. But seems like the boards are clean from any damage. I did noticed that 1 of the 16 ram chips was not Apple logo'ed. I'm assuming it was replaced at some point? but it looks like it was a factory job. Refurbished board maybe? I got a "untested / not working" mouse off ebay and hope I can clean it up and fix it. Still hunting for a keyboard (preferably one without the num-pad, but I'll use either). and the replacement system disk and game pack has arrived from http://rescuemyclassicmac.com/ I ordered 16 replacement ram chips. Not sure if I want to replace them all, or just the 3 I think might be bad. Oh! and I was also happy to see the boards original with no upgrades done to it, so its still a 128k ^-^

Nice price.

From the sad mac errors only F7 and G9 chips are bad, my approach will be to piggyback the new chips for a test, then remove the bad ones.

the removal and replacement of the new chips is a bit tricky.

From what I decoded with a 1804 code, I can see that F7 (0004) G8 (0800) and G9 (1000) are bad, since adding those numbers gives me 1804. Unless I’m doing it wrong.
