Powerbook 1400cs with Orinoco Gold card, unable to get DHCP

I have this powerbook 1400cs with Mac OS 9.1, and recently I've found a Orinoco Gold Card for wifi connection.
I have installed drivers, and I think it works fine.
I have the icon for wifi control in the Control Strip.
It shows me the AP founded near, and I've created a new configuration with Assistant.
After some seconds, where the OS seems to be freezed, it get me the signal icon with green signal bars.
But if I go to TCP/IP where I've selected Orinoco and DHCP I got the self assigned IP (169.254.xxx.yyy)

What's wrong?

I've tried with manual configuration, without success. Please, help me...

What security is the access point using? OS 9 is unable to connect to WPA or WPA2 networks, only unsecured (open) and WEP networks.

I've tried with an open wifi with android telethered phone, unsecured, but it fail. But curious if it cannot got a connection with WPA or WPA2, and I can see the Orinoco connected to a crypted wifi, so thia wifi has WEP enabled, right?

I've got a solution. With an opened SSID I've set IP manually on TCP/IP panel, then save, then reopen TCP/IP panel and set DHCP, save and... Voilà! My pb1400 go to internet! Funky!
