My beloved eMac has a folder w/ a blinking question mark inside. HELP

As much as I want to upgrade, my eMac  has been there for me.  Now it has a folder with a blinking Question mark and finder.  Not sure what to do, as I really don’t want to mess with it. I have all of my photos from years and years, and I really don’t feel like losing them.  Any help would be greatly appreciated smile
