Macintosh Classic 2 No Sound

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here after recently becoming intreased in vintage apple computers.

Anyway I recently bought a classic 2 off eBay (condition unknown) and when I got it would not turn on just had the bars that many of the classic 2 get. Since then I have replaced all the caps on the main board and it now works very well apart from the audio which I have no idea why its not working I know its not just the internal speakers bad because I have plugged external speakers to check and nothing, I have also made sure the volume was at max in the control panel. Also I have never washed the board with anything other that Isopropyl Alcohol. Please don't mock my soldering I'm new at it also cap c6 (top right) I lifted a pad so traced it back to some points on the back of the board and put it there instead.

Any help will be very much appreciated Thanks.

washing may help but also know the riveted installed speakers on the classic and classic 2 go bad.  Plug in a set of headphones on the sound port if they work its the speaker.

Thanks for the suggestion I have just tested with headphones and at max volume you can just make out the slightest sound. I have had the board completely immersed and washed in isopropyl alcohol should I use soap and water?

Re: Macintosh Classic 2 No Sound

I just washed mine bottom shelf in the dish washer with a drop of soap as that much washing can usually get under all the chips..  If you have sound tho at all also the sound chip may be suspect and thats above me.  I have not got the skill to do full chips.
