JRL's collection

Finally (!) got around to posting around here. I'm JRL - the same one from "the other site". I'm back from college so I may as well share my collection.

Re: JRL's collection

Welcome JRL!  That's a pretty extensive collection.  It's neat you have your own original LC.  Mine were sold/trashed/donated long ago.

Re: JRL's collection

the previous owner spray painted it a hideous shade of neon yellow "for it to run faster"

"Taking advantage of the obvious performance characteristics of YELLOW!"

Nice collection.

Re: JRL's collection

Thanks guys! That LC in particular will be the only Mac that I would keep if I had to absolutely sell off everything.

Slowly adding some (old) pictures to the post.

Re: JRL's collection

Was that Performa 575 the one I gave you in trade for the G3 AIO?

Regardless, I hope you've been able to get it fixed up!

Re: JRL's collection

Added something new to the collection. I got an Apple IIe with monitor and Imagewriter II, all boxed, for $100. Only took a quick cellphone pic, but here it is (the IIe box is rough but the other boxes look great and I doubt the Imagewriter was used more than a few times)

I also got around 20 blanks, some misc software, and some old brand new ribbons (probably dried out)

Nothing out of the ordinary, the usual 80 column/Unidisk 5.25" and a Super Serial Card II.

Re: JRL's collection

Ah, ok.  Grab a RAMWorks II or III next time one pops up on the 'bay...  They surprisingly are fairly cheap.
