Lots of fun... Mac IIfx crashing at boot...
Well, finally got my IIfx to load completely again. Guess the Network Extension got borked under 7.5.5. Did multiple conflict tests with Conflict Catcher, all with the same result. Two of my ethernet cards don't connect, both of them being the "swiss army" style Asanté MC3NB cards with the 10BaseT connector, the AUI connector, and the 10Base2 BNC connector. My MC3NB that only has the AUI and 10BaseT connectors works fine. Anyway, after being unable to load TomeViewer 1.2 on the machine, I finally resigned myself to the fact that I might have to install 7.6 and use System Switcher to go back and forth. Loaded the installer up. At that point, decided, on a whim to see if I could custom install the networking extensions without updating to 7.6. Sure enough, it let me. Now, the computer boots reliably and connects to my MacBook via FTP without problems.

Did you have to extract/drag and drop the extensions, or does the 7.6 installer allow that as an option?

I just used the installer. For some reason, my copy of TomeViewer isn't working on the machine.
