Which capacitor was killed by battery?

Hi everyone,

I have a Macintosh SE with a leaking battery. I carefully removed the battery and the battery Clip, but the acid destroyed capacitor C10. This capacitor seems usefull for the speaker, because now I hear some funny noise when booting up and No Bong.

I googled the whole day to find an information about the capacitor C10, but cannot find them.

Can you help me and give me the correct values to replace the capacitor?

Thank you very much

Regards
Andre

Re: Which capacitor was killed by battery?

there is more than C10 damaged, probably a bit more. the acid eats the traces and vias away. you have some work to do with a magnifying lens and continuity checks against the schematics.

Re: Which capacitor was killed by battery?

The acid was just around the battery, not on the whole logic Board. So I think it is just a small problem and non of the traces are ffected. I cleaned everything with isopropyl alcohol. And Hey, the Mac boots up. So it seems I have just to replace this C10 guy
