It's been a good couple of days

Besides getting the Outbound 125 from Cosmo in a trade, this week I also brought home the following:

Motorola Powerstack, with AIX media - this is the one that looks like the Death Star mated with a console radio, not the boring tower.

AlphaStation 500

CycleQuad - a Sun Ultra 2 form factor quad CPU capable machine. I've been wanting one of these for years! Now I just have to find my stash of Sun CPUs and RAM

I also got a new clock battery in my SGI Indigo Elan, and it booted right up.

So many toys... Life is good smile

Very nice!

I vaguely remember something that looked like this stuffed in a storage closet off a server room a bunch of years back.

Yup - that's the one. I've got the top piece  you have in your photo. There were expansion chassis - like the bottom piece in your photo - that could contain additional drives, tape drives, etc. I assume that's where the "stack" came in in "Powerstack".

Not having ever seen the expansion module, not sure how the hardware connected together. Haven't done the googling to find out, yet.

Man. Wish I had one of those. Lots of fun AIX machines around here.
