I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

Lots of for sale threads but I hardly ever see a post from someone looking to grab the little knick knack they need to finish a project. Post it here!

I, for one could use an IR lens for a lombard.

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

I can probably help out with the DE9 localtalk adapter.  I have a giant box of phonenet stuff from the wall o macs that I'll have to find and dig through.  For many of those I ended up making a DE9 to minidin8 adapter, but I did have a hand full of real ones too.
I thought I had a full 040 around here somewhere for you MJ, but I can't seem to find it.  If I do, I'll let you know.

If you happen to stumble across one I'd appreciate having one in my stash. (To get programs to my 512k I've been having to use a Plus as a in-between-er. I did give in and get a floppyemu but I'm still curious how the 512k might work on the network.)

Probably don't have anything you'd want in barter, alas, unless you're dying for a part from an old SparcStation 5. ;P

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

Cable for external floppy drive (A2M4050) for Apple //c is needed to get it running.

No longer needed. Did actually get one from some powermac i took apart and recycled the other parts (mostly).

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

Been a bit since I've been on the forums but at this point I think I need:

1 LC 1 floppy drive bracket (805-5111 - only fits an LC 1)
1 Performa 630 front bezel (would take a variant)
2 Powerbook 165c/180c LCD rear casings (screw holes as intact as possible)
1 Powerbook Duo ram module (would prefer 8mb or above)
1 IIci motherboard (bad caps ok)
2 IIci rubber "feet"
1 PM 5500/250 motherboard
1 SE/30 front bezel

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

@JRL I have the 630 front bezel.  I'm in Australia though.

If it safe to assume if the location isn't given then the poster is in the US of A?

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

JRL I think I got an LC1 drive bracket, a performa front, A IIci motherboard, and I may have a version of a 5200 motherbaord, or will a 6500 board that you put a 5xxx series backplate on work?

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

I could use one set of "feets" for a 12" RGB monitor (or Macintosh Color Display; the "feets" are interchangeable). I have one in reserve, but they tend to fall off, plus I have a spare 12" to repair which is "feetsless" at the moment.

Thank's for the 9600 bezel Macman... it arrived some time ago and I can now sleep easy. I've sent you an email regarding renumerating you for your efforts. Cheers again. smile

Re: I Want The Part On Your Shelf Thread

I'm looking for a couple more sizeable items... not necessarily shelf parts, but not big-ticket items, either:

- a logic board for a 20" iMac 4,1 (or a 4,2 - if the boards are compatible),
- and a good LCD for a 24" iMac 7,1. Mine has yellowed considerably.

And, of course, the ever-elusive Q950 CD bezel and Quadra 8XX drive bezels. smile

Always on the lookout for RAM sticks to max out G3s and G4s as well.

Daily Driver: TITAN - Mac Pro 1,1 - dual 3GHz quad-cores, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD w/ 3TB RAID storage, GeForce 570 GT 1.25GB
Daily Driver Laptop: PHOENIX - MacBook Pro 1,1 - 2GB RAM, 128GB SSD
Collection: **List truncated by forum signature limit** ;)
Looking for: Plus, Color Classic, DuoDock, Portable, Duo 280 keyboard, Q950 CD bezel, TAM, AppleVision 1710AV

I don't have a PhoneNet one but I do have several LocalTalk ones...and may have a LocalTalk to PhoneNet cable or two (if I can find them).
