Open/Close CD QS/MDD tray command from Windows KBD under OS9?
Gotta be an easier way, been keeping a CD in the drive to eject it from the finder in order to open the door, but have been dragging out the Pro KBD to open the empty drive when I forget. (Dum@$$ form over function, post-DA designs) Only drawback of my KVM switching setup.
Never looked into it, just thought I'd ask after I had to dig out the Pro again last night, way easier this way.

Eject Extras is what you seek.

THX, got it. If you've gotta use third party software to replace the function of a universally adopted front bezel button standard for the sake of effete design aesthetics . . .
. . . just HOW stupid is that?

Is it 3rd party? It came preinstalled and on the restore disk for those machines.

I'm not sure if that would make it better or worse.

On a MDD, you could always just flip the door down by hand and hit the eject button on the optical drive. Did that on mine.

You risked putting fingerprints on it's (effete) perfection? Heretic! Beast! BARBARIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been tempted to drill out the depression for the eject button molded into the Zip bezel of my DA . . .
. . . his Iveness (his Steveness?) had the buttons removed from the drives for the QS . . .
. . . Zip was dropped entirely from the MDD. So Iomega rolled their own and the eject button reappeared in the Mirrors of my 750 bezel.
