SE, analog board and a hypothetical question.

Can an SE take the analog board and power supply from a Classic?
Is there any interchangeability in them? I want to switch my SE from it's beat up case into a cleaner classic case. I will cut the port area from the SE and swap it onto the Classic bucket, but the power connector and switch are no where near the same spot.
If possible I could move the switch and power connector to the lower location.
This is probably not thought out as much as I should, as I hadn't thought where I can reroute the Ethernet card/jack.
Sort of brainstorming at the moment.

no because the brightness control on a Classic is PWM/Digital based.

Re: SE, analog board and a hypothetical question.

Somewhere at the other joint we figured out that the Classic&CII's power<->LB connector was the same an SE&SE/30's EXCEPT reversed.

As Techknight says the brightness would also be a problem, but the all the signals to get power and video between the two are there.  It may be that you could make a cross-over cable to go between, but you'd have better luck with an SE case and a Classic board than vise versa.

Re: SE, analog board and a hypothetical question.

Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I'll just use the case for an oversized rasPi media streamer/emulator, and let the SE live in it's internal zip drive glory.
